If you look around on the street, I'll bet you will see tons of high waisted shorts. These are definitely on trend right now and most likely will be for a long time. These shorts are so popular because they make your waist look thinner and in comparison make you look curvier. Here are a few of my favorites.
White:
These are from American Apparel and go with almost everything. I like their basic design and simplicity.
Color:
These are from Forever 21. They don't rise quite as high as the previous ones, but give a similar affect. The bright color is sure to make you standout and will go with mainly white, black, and grey.
Denim:
These are from Levis, and I love them for their unique look. These are very retro yet stylish and have the original classic look that everyone is looking for. These, like the white shorts go with most everything.
Pattern:
These awesome shorts are from Forever 21 and combine two trends in one, animal print and high waist. You should stick to wearing black if you go for a look like this, that way the bottoms get to shine.
How to wear:
You can rock the high waisted look by tucking in the top you choose. This is to make sure that you can see the detailing on the shorts and enhance your waist. Flowy blouses give this a dressier look while fitted t shirts and tank tops make this casual.
